  Meuron´s Swiss Regiment #1899
  It appears that Jean Baptiste was part of the Swiss De Meuron Regiment. After fighting in Europe, some of the regiment was sent to Lower Canada to fight against the Americans in 1813. After peace was restored, this regiment was disbanded starting in December 1815. It appears Joan Baptiste Publon,(service #1899) was 20 years old. Although the date of the entry Regimental Book was 17 Nov. 1815, a notation at the end of that entry states "discharged at Canada 4th June". Obviously Jean chose to stay in North America rather than go back to Europe.

Other information sources, such as Burke's Landed Gentry, indicate that Lucinda and Anne did not immigrate until 1822.
