  Pioneer Cemetery, aka Old Burying Ground (Craig St. Cemetery) Anglican Section of the cemetery. I found a picture of a headstone in this cemetery for Lucy but it is very hard to read. However it indicates that Lucy died on the 21 Aug 1848. Her age appears to be 49 yrs.If correct, the birth date (1795)given in Burke's Landed Gentry is off by several years.

  This location is speculative since there does not appear to be a surviving marriage record for John and Susannah. The Church of England records at St.John's go back into the 1700s but unfortunately there are no Anglican records for Ferryland before the mid 1820s. There are also references that the local magistrates sometimes performed marriages in the absence of a clergymen.

  There is conflicting information as to when Lucinda Glascott arrived from Ireland. Some researchers indicates that she came over with her brothers, John and William and sister Anne in 1819.
