He said that he was born in Torbay, Newfoundland on 7 Sep. 1904 and that he had moved to Brooklyn, NY on board the Rosalind on 8 Apr. 1910. Although he had filed an intent to become a US citizen on 21 Oct 1927, it appears his application was not granted until seven years later.
