    Notes:

    Died:
The John V. Pugh, who died in New York in 1883, appears to match the John V. Pugh from this family. While the 1881 Canadian Census shows John still living in Halifax, NS, his occupation was given as a clerk. Other than the fact that the listing says he had been in the US for five years, his occupation there matches the line of work noted in the 1881 Canadian Census.

Margaret's home address was given as 10 Linden St. in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was noted as being single. Margaret's personal information was given by a friend, Mrs. Geo. A. Tolson? who appears to have lived at the same address. However, she gave Margaret's mother's maiden name as Alice Affleck when it should have been Saunders.
