Abt 1795 - Yes, date unknown
Generation: 1
| 1. | Francis Glascott was born Abt Nov 1795, Creaken, Co. Wexford, Ireland; died Yes, date unknown. Other Events:
- Baptism: 5 Nov 1795, Creaken, Co. Wexford, Ireland
- Military: Abt 1810, Ireland
Notes:
Baptism:
While it would make sense that there would be a "Francis" in this family, since both of his grandfathers was so named, I couldn't find any documented reference to prove that he actually existed.
Military:
Burke's "Landed Gentry" states Francis had military service. It says he died, unmarried, having been a midshipman in the Royal Navy in the Napoleonic Wars. He supposedly joined or was impressed into the Royal Navy about 1810.
I searched the military records in the UK National Archives but couldn't find a service record that matches a Francis Glascott.
