 1861 - Abt 1951 (90 years)
Generation: 1
| 1. | Mary Ellen Flaherty was born 17 Feb 1861, Fermeuse, Newfoundland; died Abt 29 Jul 1951, Montréal, Quebec, Canada; was buried 31 Jul 1951, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, Montréal, Quebec, Canada. Notes:
Birth:
Mary Ellen was the daughter of Edmund Flaherty and Catherine Power of St. John's, Newfoundland. Newfoundland church records show this couple living at Fermeuse and having children from 1862 onward into the 1870s. I haven't found a record for Mary Ellen so it is possible she was baptised at Ferryland or St. John's.
Buried:
The family headstone records Mary Ellen's surname as O'Flaherty.
Mary married Andrew Aspell 20 Feb 1882, Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil, Montréal, Quebec, Canada. Andrew (son of John Aspell and Bridget Maher) was born 5 May 1855, St. John's, Newfoundland; died 5 Apr 1934, Montréal, Quebec, Canada; was buried 7 Apr 1934, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, Montréal, Quebec, Canada.
