    Died:
    From analysis of the church registers, the last mention of Patrick Aspell was in the 1822 baptism record of his daughter, Mary. There is no indication of exactly when Patrick died but it appears that he was still a very young man. Given the nature of his sea-faring occupation, it is possible he was lost at sea. His widow, Mary, married Patrick Dawley in 1825.

    At the time of his death, Patrick's age was recorded as 65, indicating he was born about 1846 or 1847. No baptism match was found for a Patrick in these years however, there were two Patricks baptised at St. John's in 1852 to related Aspell families. One was the son of James Aspell and Bridget Bryne and the other Patrick was born four months later to John Aspell and Bridget Maher. No reference have been found to help distinguish this Patrick's origin, so I have selected James Aspell and Bridget Byrne as his probable parents. This may change if any information surfaces to disprove my selection.
