The transcription on this census is not too good, family was recorded as Greever. The family was living at 45 Acton St. in Maynard, MA.They had been married 3 years and the census appears to show that John had entered the US in 1895(blurred). The family was recorded as living at 6 Pond Lane in Concord. It is noted that John was born in Newfoundland and came to the US in 1898, becoming a naturalized US citizen in Nov. 1902. It is also stated that John's father was born in Newfoundland and his mother tongue was English, but his mother was born in Ireland and her mother tongue was Irish. This information seems to be confused in many of the census, which leads me to wonder how the enumerator asked the questions to gather this data. It would indicate to me that the Greenes were of English origin and the Delahuntys were of Irish origin. (Kevin Reddigan).

By 1930, it appears the family had moved to Boston and were living at 523A East Second Street. This census states that John had become a US citzen in 1904.

John married Ellen Agnes Kronberg 21 Nov 1906. Ellen was born 13 Apr 1887, Maynard, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States; died 13 Aug 1977, Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States. [Group Sheet]
