Generation: 1
| 1. | Elizabeth Jordan was born Abt 1794, Brigus South, Newfoundland; died Yes, date unknown. Notes:
Elizabeth was the daughter of Robert and Mary Jordan who initially settled at Brigus South and raised a family of at least eight children there. The family eventually moved to Ferryland and Elizabeth married John Rossiter. Elizabeth's mother had died about 1817 and her father Robert Jordan died, intestate, about December 1828. In an application for Lettters of Administration for Robert's estate, John Rossiter stated that there was only his wife Elizabeth , a sister Catherine, and a son (unamed) surviving from the Jordan famiily. Elizabeth was claiming all property belonging to her father since Catherine had renounced any claim. The "son has been residing for many years some place to the westward of the island" and it appears they did not know where to contact him.
