  St. John's newspapers reported that Margaret "Aspell" died 4 Oct. 1884 at Brigus South. Deceased was the youngest daughter of Thomas and Catherine Lieubee of Toads Cove. On the 2nd of Nov. 1884, her death was also reported as Margaret "Archibald". The surname Aspell is used primarily in south-eastern Ireland, as a variant of Archibald/Archbold. This notice says the deceased left a husband and 6 children.

We don't know if the headstone marks the actual place of burial, or if it was erected there because it was Margaret's hometown. The year on the headstone is incorrect by one year - 1885 instead of 1884. This suggests that it was likely erected quite a few years later, and the exact year of her death had been forgotten.
