  Father	Patrick Brien,   b. Abt 1822, Ferryland, Newfoundland ,   d. 20 Aug 1892, Goulds, Newfoundland  (Age ~ 70 years)
Mother	Mary Anne Murphy,   b. Abt 1827, Ferryland, Newfoundland ,   d. 27 Nov 1874, Aquaforte, Newfoundland  (Age ~ 47 years)
  Married	28 Apr 1844	St. John's, Newfoundland   [4]
Address: Roman Catholic Basilica of St. John the Baptist
This marriage was recorded at St. John's. Patrick "Brine" was noted as being from "Ferland" (sic) but Mary Anne's address was not given. This could indicate that Mary Anne was from St. John's, hence the traditional marriage within the parish of the bride. However, this convention was not followed rigorously by all members of the RC clergy. At the time of their marriage, the address of the bride and groom both gave their address as William's Lane, St. John's.
