  Married: In their Vital Statistics marriage, William's age was given as 38 and his wife, Catherine, was recorded as being 40. Census: In the few surviving records of the 1911 Newfoundland Census, St. John's East, William's age is given as 55 and his wife, Catherine, is recorded as being 52.
